 The Wainfleet Improvement Group (WIG) is an independent voluntary group made up of local Wainfleet residents and business people. 
 
It has its roots in the Market Towns Initiative that was funded throughout the East Lindsey Area during the 1990s.  The Wainfleet Community Development Group and the Wainfleet Improvement Group were pursuing similar paths and merged into one group in 2007. 
 
The group has had a number of successes and is currently busy on a number of local projects including the sprucing up of the High Street frontages, the formulation of a monthly town diary and the expansion of the Wainfleet website.  New project ideas come forward and are discussed at each of the meetings.
 
Meetings are held, usually monthly, at the Sure Start Children’s Centre at the Magdalen School.
